Much More Than a Career
Lisa Vedova
Vice President of Sales, Ticor Title

I started my career in the commercial lending division of a bank, and I knew early on that I wanted to be in sales. Then a respected executive in the title industry saw something in me and told me title was where I belonged. I took his advice and joined his company. Almost twenty-five years later, he is still my mentor, and that one conversation changed the course of my life.
I didn't know it then, but title would become much more than a career. It gave me a second family. I have spent twenty-four years right here in South Orange County, in Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Ladera Ranch, Lake Forest, San Juan Capistrano, Aliso Viejo and Coto de Caza. I know these neighborhoods, and I know the people who sell them.
Title is detail work, and I take it personally. Your clients are trusting you with one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and you are trusting me to get them to the closing table without surprises. I never take that lightly. It's why every preliminary report comes back to you with my own review page on top, walking you through it in plain English, so you know what you're looking at before your client ever thinks to ask.
I don't wait for you to need something. When your listing goes live, you'll hear from me to celebrate it. When I spot homeowners in your farm who could use Prop 19, I bring you the list and a letter ready to mail. If I see a way to help you win the next listing or take care of a client, I'll show up with it before you think to ask.
And when a deal gets hard, that's when I'm at my best. I'm the first one on the phone. I stay steady, I find the answer, and I don't let go until your file closes. One of my longtime agents calls me "calm as a cucumber," and I'll take that compliment any day.
The funny thing is, out in the field I feel like a total extrovert. Still, I would rather listen than talk, follow through than make promises, and let the work speak for me. Some of the agents I work with have trusted me with their business for fifteen years and counting. That kind of loyalty isn't handed to you. You earn it one file at a time.
I love sharing what I know. I've hosted webinars on topics like Prop 19 so agents can walk their clients through it with confidence, and I send my agent partners notes full of ideas they can make their own. If it helps you grow your business, I want you to have it.
Ask me what I'm proudest of, and it won't be anything in title. I've been married to my husband, Tony, for twenty-one years. Together we have five children and five grandbabies, and our home is loud, full and the center of everything for me. Recently I got to welcome my daughter-in-law, Amy, into the business alongside me, and working beside family has made this work even sweeter.
When I'm not working, you'll find me lifting weights or running the beautiful trails near our home in Coto de Caza and out at O'Neill Regional Park. I always say it's how you run the day you run. Distance running taught me that you don't win in the first mile. You win by showing up for every mile after it, and I bring that same steady pace to every file. I keep a small circle of close friends, and I'm all in for every one of them. That's how I love, and it's how I take care of my clients too.
Rooted in trust. That is how I've built twenty-four years in this business, and it's how I'll take care of yours.
